This buy hold sell investment property was acquired in 1999 from the REO portfolio of an insurance company that had foreclosed on the property; it was later sold in 2002. It was formerly known as Huyck Felt Plant, located on the Tennessee-Tom Waterway. The property includes approximately 104 acres and was home to a 204,000 SF building. The property is presently redeveloped as a commercial-scale wood fuel pellet production facility and is owned by the Westervelt Renewable Energy, LLC. It produces pellets from Southern Yellow Pine material for export and domestic markets. The plant produces about 250,000 metric tons of wood pellets per year, expandable to 500,000 metric tons per year.
